Today Was Wednesday Songtext

Today was Wednesday. I guess it's not quite over yet but I put a cap on my day when I got out of bed. I conceded I can't win this so I'll just try to keep pace. Maybe a day will come when I get my bearing, and I'll do somethin' great.

Where did October go? Did I produce enough to stay? I'm always working just hard enough to be left alone today. Now that everything is caving in I'm forced to change my ways. But when I think about the future I feel much better about today.

Now the year is gone and I've come up with nothing great. My stories are getting dull now and my wit ain't sharp today. I'm believing there is something, something left inside of me. I've got this crazy idea that an idea will come to me.
