So You mean i don't have to chase the wind anymore Songtext
Grape, Raisin, Juice and Wine,
each taste is sweet and dull.
we made a shelter, though passing,
out of sticks and pebbles we found
Four feet, two, and then three *
we grew, content, and bored we decorated

our tower,
our temple,
our science,
our belief,

we fight to stay afloat
but we don't,

we die.

i guess that raises some questions.
Like, what would it profit us to find our worth
in a place we are about to leave?

i took mud and,
baked bricks
laid them high in pride
just to watch the rain clouds gather
and say to them selfs
drop by drop in mockery of us
"its all made of dust!"

we die, and all we earn is not enough to halt this.
all the logic, leaves me alone, and brings me no peace.

i just want to hear, that there is some reason for my being here
i cast it all off tonight for its to much for me to bare alone.
Alone in that house, i threw open a window and cried for appraisal.
"these fingers must mean something, though everything they grasp is going away!"
it was there in my defeat You became my victory.
and when You sing to me inside, its more real then the wind
and in their hands they hold iron pirite and they can keep it all
i have my Pearl.

When You said, "come and rest", i felt it leap inside
the part of me that was dead.
