When we said No Child Left Behind
Baghdad was what we had in mind
So we devised a standard test
To tell the brightest and the whitest
From the rest

We're cutting luxuries like teachers, books and tutors
To make things easier for disadvantaged, underprivileged military recruiters

And you say that's stupid
That's really stupid
Yeah, you say that's ignorant, insane and asinine

I say you're right, it's stupid
It's really, really stupid by Intelligent Design

We won't let Grandma smoke a doob
So we sedate her through a tube
We've got to fight a War on Drugs
We can't have Grandma walkin' 'round
Giving hugs

And so we're cracking down on cancer-stricken stoners
To save America for poor, defenseless pharmaceutical corporation owners

And you say that's stupid
That's really stupid
Yeah, you say that's ignorant, insane and asinine

Now, global warming is a myth
Enviro-nazis bug us with
We caused Kyoto disaccord
Now only people on the board can afford
To return to the Ninth Ward

We drop the ball
And make another bonehead call
And pat each other on our backs
And cut each other's income tax

Then we say oops
And lose another thousand troops
And call another photo op
And drop another malaprop

And every time it looks like hell for us
It somehow works out well for us
