Brenton Songtext
Another Monday morning, another grudging day,
And all you have to look forward to, seems so far away.

Eyes piercing straight through them,
Acquired feelings blaring in your ears,
From unpaid dial-tone strategies,
Hateful crimes hidden in the words.

Know that this isn't what you wanted.
(No. I know, you know)
Know that this isn't what you wished for.
(You know, I know, you know)
. . So why keep this up?

And now breaking old habits, just replace them with these new ones,
They drive you back to that same old place you've been before,
The same old pace,
The stop and go,
No reason to speak,
Just type it out,

And we shared in shedding all these tears,
We let each other die 10,000 times,
We hurt ourselves today,
And told the world how we felt it,
Now we are ok, only to each other,
Now we just , (straight face, crooked face), can't face each other.

So burn away your last few moments of feeling,
You're fading away, to that day,
Wish you could fix what you've broken before,
But you should know there's only so much you can ignore.

Know that this isn't what you wanted.
(No. I know, you know)
Know that this isn't what you wished for.
(You know, I know, you know)
. . So why keep this up?

You're hurting yourself,
Depleting your health,
Just so you can say, "Poor me, why cant I be,
Better like them, with all the right words, and all the right moves."
But the pain you inflict is the kind that soothes,
Removes the thoughts of what you've become,
And what you will never be.

You know this isn't what you want.
(No, you know)
You know you'll still keep this up.
(I know you know)
You know this isn't what you want.
(No, you know)
You know you'll still keep this up.
(I know you know)
You know this isn't what you want.
(No, you know)
You know you'll still keep this up.
(I know you know)
