My family has a history of cancer
Addictive personalities
A tendency for excess intake
And our hearts are big

I like to smoke when I'm drunk
When I'm recording a song
After I eat a big meal
Or when I'm behind the wheel
I really don't smoke a lot
But I don't want to give it up
I don't want to say I'm done
If it's just a lie

I should start working out
I should start eating right
I shouldn't eat so much
And I should go out tonight

But it's hard for me to go out
There's too many pictures outside
I like to smoke cigarettes
To give my mind a rest

There's too many movies to make
Too many songs to write
Too many demons to face
To give it up tonight
