That Ol' Jeep Songtext
That ol' jeep
Out there in the driveway's older than me
Rolled right off the lot in '83
With goodrich tires
Got some leaks
But it still fires
Up every time I need to clear my mind I take a ride

In that ol' jeep
It's my favorite shade of old school army green
With a hula girl that dances to the
Beat of the back road bumps
Cost an arm & leg at the pump
But the peace I find's worth every dime
I spend when I fill up
That Ol' Jeep

Yea it's my sunburned leather church pew
My kill time time machine
It's my rippin' off the rearview
Four wheel therapy
Barely six miles to the gallon
But it's all I'll ever need
To get broke down runnin'
When my soul stuck on E
Man I feel the most like me
Soon as I turn the key

To that ol' Jeep
Headed somewhere slow nowhere to be
With Mac and Jack and a rescue named Remi
Hangin' off the side
Toppin' off a sunset drive
With my whole world in those four seats
It ain't hard to see why

Yea it's my sunburned leather church pew
My kill time time machine
It's my rippin' off the rearview
Four wheel therapy
Barely six miles to the gallon
But it's all I'll ever need
To get broke down runnin'
When my soul stuck on E
Man I feel the most like me
Soon as I turn the key
To that ol' Jeep

Nah it don't matter where I am
You can bet I'd rather be

In my sunburned leather church pew
Kill time time machine
It's my rippin' off the rearview
Four wheel therapy
Barely six miles to the gallon
But it's all I'll ever need
To get broke down runnin'
When my soul stuck on E
Man I feel the most like me
Soon as I turn the key
To that ol' Jeep

There ain't a friend I've ever had
That knows me quite like that
Ol' Jeep
