Surtsey Songtext
I went through my second morning
A frog shivering in thirst
Tormented by everyday miracles
I ran away to this place

Show me the reason why you smile in the beginning
We were pushed by invisible hands and thrown out
Because this isn't a stage?

You were like a cute monster
That can't easily be tamed

A blue wind crosses over the cliff
A sea horse shouts
Endorphins spring
This place is your big wound
I finally reached it

Show me the reason why you smile in the end
We were pushed by invisible hands and thrown out
Because this isn't a stage?

The rumbling of the sea roared
In that changing room where I mingle with ghosts
Surging waves, blood flowing
Priests losing their words
A baby's crying voice
Stabs upwards from the bottom of the sea
A mystery whips me
Telling me that I must keep on living

I wake up from my dream and smile, I'm still in a dream
Show me the secret to sleep with my eyes opened
And
Show me the reason why you smile in your last moments
We were pushed by invisible hands and thrown out
Because this isn't a stage?

I had no idea at all
Nobody had told me
The string phone was cut
We're on the roof, it's God's pool
We both leave the procession
The martyrs are hesitating
You started running
And I closed my grieving mouth
