State Lines Songtext
The wheels on my car
Are like the boots on my feet
Ones rusty and worn
And the other is tearing at the seams
And the wheel in my hand
Pulls a little to the right
And the heart in my chest pulls to you
When I cross state lines
The fuel in my tank it fills up with gas
When I pass you by
My hearts tellin me to turn on around and
Give it one more try
I can't bring myself
To do such a thing
If I relived a lie
Lord, it sure would be a shame

Maybe I’ll move a county or two
Or maybe another state would do
I think it'd be ok
If I just moved away
And drank up all my pay
So I don't see you

I can’t seem to gеt you off my mind
Even though I try
I fail every timе
The rust in my frame
Is like the hole in my heart
Every time I hear your name
It tears me apart

Maybe I'll move a county or two
Or maybe another state would do
I think it'd be ok
If I just moved away
And drank up all my pay
So that I don't see you

In my dreams
In my thoughts
Any time I fall asleep
There you are
