Pineapple Songtext
I lost my pineapple back in 1964
My pineapple floated down the stream
I watched it float as I waved goodbye
And I knew I'd never have that taste again
So the very next day I went to the store
There were no pineapples left
And I said to myself.. This is very bad
So I asked the store clerk when the next shipment
Of pineapples were coming, and he said never again
Pineapples in 1964
I never tasted you again
Pineapples in 1964
I went to the store
Sold out of pineapples
All they had was apples and lettuce and other fruits

It wouldn't be until 1972
That I would taste pineapple again
It wasn't as fresh, It wasn't as ripe
And it didn't taste ripe
So I said to myself, what's the point
There is no point!

Pineapples!
Oh no no
And I said Pineapples!
I said now
Pineapples!
Please return to me
I said Pineapples!
Please come back to me

Well I never tasted a pineapple again until I died
So I said to myself
There's no point in living if you can't
Live your life to the fullest!

Pineapples!
Oh no no
And I said Pineapples!
I said now
Pineapples!
Please return to me
I said Pineapples!
Please come back to me
