Let go of my hand, time to say goodbye now,
Reflecting on all that's been sewn in my heart.
Think back to the snow, that day's so alive now
The gunshots still ring in my head,
As each gold casing falls down to the floor
Like the snow outside the tent, reflecting the casket
And all that I thought that I ever would see
On this day I may never understand.

And I cant pretend, ill be the same again,
And ill be, ok and able to live my life without you

The soft ground,
Beneath the snow,
Rest inside, you reside in that world all alone,
Reduced to a number, marked only by stone,
Not telling the stories that you left untold,
Not telling how much we all loved you

Think back to that night, my mothers embrace,
That reassuring smile that you had on your face.
The tears down my own, took with them my heart,
Knowing that I could never regain
That part in my life that since then i've been missing,
Blown out from within, I keep on convincing myself
that im all that you want me to be
And all that i am makes you happy to see me

And I cant pretend, ill be the same again,
And ill be, ok, and able to live my life with out you

'Cause you took my heart, down with you

Pick a time, pick a place, pick anywhere to see you,
And ill get there just to hear your voice ringing out once again in my ears

just to tell me that you love me and you're proud of all I've done, that you'll always be above me looking out for everyone
And most of all to let you know

How much you meant, to us all, those you touched,
And those who never knew you at all,
And how worse off the world is now that you're gone.
