Must Be The Credit Songtext
Being alone must be alright
in a room that is as quiet
as the sound coming from light.

It's amazing how my voice grows louder
when my mouth isn't moving
and creating worthless chatter.

Yet two pills a day makes it quite alright
to have no one to arouse my senses
on this quiet Winter's night.

And everyone is telling me:
"Everything will be alright,
just always take your pills
to keep ugly feelings out of sight."

They claim to know all about
the loneliness brought out by night
and how it makes you feel, they say:
"Is something we're trying to fight."

Maybe their intentions are noble
when trusting all they know
that comes from human reasoning,
leading them where they want to go.

So on they press with their mission
to help all those that know
what it's like to be led blind-folded
to the place where true feelings go.

What's sad is bad and
what's happy is good
to all who want to show
that all human suffering and strife
can be cured by what they know.

In arrogant ignorance supported by all
they equate the human spirit
to a system of matter and balanced chemicals
so simple that no one could fear it.

One process for malaise, another for rage
as long as they can all profit.
While one man gets praise another locks a cage
and now we're too numb to stop it.
