While fiddling with my hair that I cut too short
I'm gazing at this missed photograph alone.
Of me beside you who's so hard to please.

I believed that the two of us could be together forever.

I want to be smiling, like the two people in this photograph...
I say goodbye to you on our anniversary that I'd been so looking forward to,
Stupid me waiting for you who's never going to come back.

While fiddling with my hair that I cut too short I peered into my pocket mirror
And all of a sudden the memories come flooding back.
I wanted to be strong so I pretended to cope and I raised the receiver.
Hearing your voice after such a long time caught me off guard.

I want to be smiling, like the two people in this photograph...

Days where I could have fun just being with you.
Can't we go back to that anymore?

I wonder if the person you're in love with now is anything like me?
I want to say something to that kid*:
"Take care of that person"

I wish that we could laugh with the same smiling faces again.
