Heal Me From Me Songtext
Lately life feels heavier
Than my hands can carry
I′m tired, so tired, I've asked for strength
I′ve asked for peace
Now I'm asking for healing
Heal me for me
The truth is I'm exhausted
Not from one thing, from everything
From carrying entire worlds inside a smile
From being strong for people who don′t even know I′m breaking
From being needed, from being responsible
From holding everyone up while quietly falling apart
From pretending I still have pieces of myself left to give
When some days I can barely find enough for me
Sometimes I don't need advice, I don′t need answers
I don't need fixing, I just need someone to sit beside me
Without trying to save me
And admit that life gets heavy for them too
Because some nights the bravest thing I do is survive until morning

I′ve gotten so good at surviving
People mistake it for living
But these days I'm not sure there′s even a difference

Lord, heal me from it
Lord, I'm tired, tired of carrying old wounds into new days
Heal me from the version of me that overthinks every silence
Heal me from the version of me that
Won't let go of what I already left
Heal me from the guilt, heal me from the fear
Heal me from the self-destruction I call survival
Heal me from the prison inside my own mind
Because I′ve survived everything that hurt me
I just haven′t learned how to survive what it left behind so long
If healing is possible, start with me

Some hurts don't need scars
They leave habits, ways of thinking, ways of fearing
Ways of expecting the worst
I keep waiting for bad news on good days
Keep preparing for loss in moments that deserve joy
Sometimes I wonder how much of my life I spent surviving
Things that weren′t even happening
And maybe that's the saddest part
The storm is over, but I′m still living like it's raining

I′ve gotten so good at surviving
People mistake it for living
But these days I'm not sure there's even a difference

Lord, heal me from it
Lord, I′m tired, tired of carrying old wounds into new days
Tired of dragging yesterday′s pain through today's blessings
Heal me from the fear that disguises itself as wisdom
Heal me from the grief that still calls itself home
Heal me from the voice inside my head
That sounds like me but never speaks with love
Because I′ve survived everything that hurt me
I just haven't learned how to survive what it left behind so long
If healing is possible, start with me

Maybe I′m not broken
Maybe I'm just tired
Maybe I′ve been carrying too much for too long
And maybe healing doesn't start when the pain disappears
Maybe healing starts the moment I stop carrying it by myself
Mm
Oh-oh
Uh-uh
From me
From me
