Fashionable Living Room Songtext
I don't remember the bad times
I don't remember the times you said "you're doomed"
I do remember the fault lines
That grew between us in our fashionable living room

That fancy sofa we sat on
When we discussed the possibility of glowing orbs
And those finely-sewn curtains
I couldn't reasonably ask for anything more
I knew that we had it wrong
Those shapes that I saw in the sky
My certainty, it made you cry

We had a valuable painting
It was by Monet or Manet or Vincent van Gogh
And a window from Paris
Through which I saw a green light pierce the evening fog

And I remember the tea set
And when you said our home felt like a tomb
All the letters those nuts wrote
We laughed about them in our fashionable living room

Then I thought that they were right
Spectral sequences in the sky
I saw the truth behind our lies
It was such nonsense, I could die

And every night was on the line
And so was every day when things you'd say
Like ships they would float away
I'm reliving all that now
And I will be screaming your name always
