[We'd like to describe a bleak winter night in Boston
And the college scene in Boston
Now, the college guy is outside the dorm
And the girl, he knows, is inside wasting her time.
He thinks he could bring her out of it.

and generally wasting her time.

So our hero thinks, now, if I could convince her to
dance with me in her dorm, then she'd see how
beautiful she really was, and she wouldn't waste her
time any more.
