Before The Fall Songtext
Cut your mind on something sharp, until the sleep it feels like rubber,
And I'll just sit here in the dark, and trade the day for one more night.

Feel like the sinner without the sin, the rain without the water,
A shirt worn paper thin, to clothe the thinnest of the skins.

Feels like your waiting before the fall, while gravity is laughing at it all.
And maybe the Earth will crack open and, swallow us whole while we watch ourselves drown.
Cause lately, I'm feeling less than complete, and I've got my whole life to live.
Click my heels three times and speak, about a better place to leave,
Cause I don't want to turn the cheek, or hold the short end of the stick.

Stand in front of a blue picture screen, behind the figure that you see,
And slide the scenery into place and walk the life across your face.

Feels like, your waiting before the fall, while gravity is laughing at it all.
Keep quiet, your voice is trembling with fear, don't worry I'll be waiting right here.
And maybe the Earth will crack open and, swallow us whole while we watch ourselves drown.
Cause lately, I'm feeling less than complete, and I've got my whole life to live.
