How much has changed since the day of fascist rule
Well I'm not sure
Power withheld to segregate still separates
The upper from the lower class
Can you believe in this world where global poverty
Is part of our economy
That we'd feel free to remove accountability
In order to ensure our way of life
Best in the west we live and die aristocrats
(the ruling class)
Often without the knowledge we were always part
Gaining from another's pain
Do you believe in a world where suffering has to be
The structural basis for the free
Do you believe that the balance is within our reach
The cogs in this machine are you and me
I believe with our decisions
And the change in our pockets
That the empowerment of a billion hungry neighbours
Could begin right here. with us.
