A Thousand Years Of Wisdom Songtext
I'm in a jam.
I hold all the cards here in my hand, yeah.
But I stand confused
About which road to choose.

I'm in a mess.
It's come down to my final guess, yeah.
What should I do
Do I stay here with you?
But if I had a thousand years of wisdom to my name
Would the answer become clear or would the question still remain;
Should a man who's love is gone stay and play the part
Or should he travel on even if it breaks her heart?

I'm in a bind.
I don't want to say things unkind, no.
But I'm feeling blue
I've stopped loving you.

I'm in a wreck.
When you put your arms around my neck, yeah.
Feels like a noose
That I can't cut loose.

But if I had a thousand years of wisdom to my name
Would the answer become clear or would the question still remain;
Should a man who's love is gone stay and play the part
Or should he travel on even if it breaks her heart?
I've been around, but it's got me nowhere.
The more I learn the less I know.
But if I search through all the pages of the secrets of the ages
Would they tell me which way to go?

I'm in a jam.
I hold all the cards here in my hand, yeah.
But I stand confused
About which road to choose.

But if I had a thousand years of wisdom to my name
Would the answer become clear or would the question still remain;
Should a man who's love is gone stay and play the part
Or should he travel on even if it breaks her heart?

If I had a thousand years of wisdom to my name
Would the answer become clear or would the question still remain;
Should a man who's love is gone stay and play the part
Or should he travel on even if it breaks her heart?
