Where Feeling Once Lived Songtext
When I looked at you,
I felt nothing.
Only an emptiness,
Devoid of love
And devoid of hate.
Without any feeling at all.
I saw you and I felt nothing.

When I did not see you,
You never even crossed my mind.
Okay, that's a lie.
I wondered why my feelings for you
Had all but vanished.
I didn't write love poems
I didn't wish ill upon you.
There was no black and no white.
Only so much gray.

Now I look at you.
You still act the same.
Look the same.
And yet I feel nothing.
Why is that so?
How can my emotions have changed
So much in a mere day?

We spent time alone
Time I savored.
Though civil to me, I found you not
To be of any more interest.
Perhaps I only adore
That which hurts me,
wounds me.

I realize there is now
A void of sorts, within me.
I can look, and I can see.
But I don't feel.
Where feeling once lived, now resides emptiness.
It spans fathoms deep.
