vacant vacation Songtext
a million suns set
within our time
they'd all look good to me
but i've been blind

to open beauty
to naked truth
but if you put your hand on my back
and guide me to.
a sandy beach somewhere
a mountain cliff
push me off the edge
or kiss my lips.

nowhere is better than here
somewhere where i don't have to pay dues
to systems of fear
that control me and you.

this pain will stop
but i don't know when
chaos and alcohol
we're my only friends

but i'll calm down
when i reach
that harrowing point of persuasion
that is so hard to teach
the beauty in your eyes
is just a trick of the light
can't let it fool me now
though i'll need it tonight

sitting alone
barren and stranded
i'll go home depressed and empty handed
but i won't plead
i never beg
i'm not just an animal
taught to hump your leg
