Two Little Birds Songtext
There is so little left to be,
if you were here then you would see.
Then you would see behind my smile and face and,
whatever references they say I'm made of,
to ease their peace of mind,

and in the cage that is my ribs,
that's where the little birds lives,
inside the whole that held my heart,
before I kicked it out, and peace love peace,
maybe one day we'll be free love free,
and maybe someday you'll be here with me,
two little birds on a chimney

There is so little left to say,
who would believe me anyway.
Who would believe that in my best intentions,
would be this other part I dare not mention,
to keep them off their guard

and in the cage that is my ribs,
that's where the little birds lives,
inside the whole that held my heart,
before I kicked it out, and peace love peace,
maybe one day we'll be free love free,
and maybe someday you'll be here with me,
two little birds on a chimney

You and me, me and you,
doing like the romans do,
wait your turn, take your time,
I'll see you on the other side,
ha ha, and I miss you.
And I miss you.

There is so little left to know,
but here we are and so we go,
we go adventure with our rhymes and reasons,
and our little vacancies and change of seasons,
to fill that space we need

and in the cage that is my ribs,
that's where the little birds lives,
inside the whole that held my heart,
before I kicked it out, and peace love peace,
maybe one day we'll be free love free,
and maybe someday you'll be here with me,
two little birds on a chimney
