I've got my toes in the sand
A cool drink in my hand
I'm watchin' sunset on the beach
I'm swayin' to a soft warm breeze
Hummin' Hawaiian melodies

And the locals say “Aloha, Mahalo
You're such a lucky fellow”
I smile and say “there really ain't nothing to it
It's rough but ill get through it
If somebody's gotta do it

Now it's been over a month since I left for the sun
Leaving LA to the rain
I put off my boss my friend feeds my dog
But that could change any day

Tonight there's a Luau and a Hula
Out on Polo Beach
Where I'll sleep under stars and wake with the sun
To do it all again

But no worries cause there really ain't nothing to it
It's rough but ill get through it
