There's Something You Should Know Songtext
Looking back at all the great names in history
The most famous faces filling up our memory
Well, they all left some kind of mark on our hearts
Turning lights on, planting apple seeds or cutting down cherry trees
Somehow turning ordinary scenes into works of art
Like the setting you painted for me last night
The classic words you spoke to me as the clock struck midnight

I said "I know a song you can sing to me
Your smile blends perfectly into the melody..."

Then you went a step further and invented a time machine
Froze me in my tracks and stepped back into my dreams

I searched for your number but it wasn't in the phone directory
So with my quick thinking I looked you up in the star registry
Someone must have named at least two for you
(One for both your eyes that sparkle and shine, never fading until sunrise...)
Heaven had a vote itself and cast it
If it wasn't for you I just couldn't imagine
Anyone else stealing this spotlight, taking the brightest light out of this constellation

The willows weep as the rain hits the streets
I constantly second guess my every move
The puddles gather in streams around my feet
But don't think for a second I'll be leaving soon

So come back, come on, we all know you're hideouts
Rain soaked alley ways with your notebook, pen and white-out
Some mistakes were never meant to be fixed

Well I know a song I can sing about you
I know something about you, that you should know too

Mistakes aren't always made to be fixed
