Hes calling in for absent leave
hes spending time with his boys
hes taking them to the park
he holds them till it turns dark

chased by a round of glancing blows
his lovers been late to work
she passes him by the park
she spares not a second thought
they barely can call him father
hes making his children bastards
a failure at best at father
He misses his bride

but he lives them in the park
hes swallowed up by the dark.
