The Great Stampede Songtext
I went across the town I was in,
In search of finding some skin,
Some kin to roll myself into.
The thought is tempting but it's ever so wrong,
So I keep playing along, but she keeps faking attention.
And on that day while I was out of my mind,
You just sat down on his lap, and shot me looks of green-eyed grief,
Then one year later you were there in my shoes, and just look who's there
All by your side.
Kingdom come, the bombs have been dropped all over town,
Let me go, help me out, but don't let down.

So as it goes, I just forget all the past and I do all that I'm asked,
Just to be slapped around once again,
And now our time together's never been thinner,
And with that well I'm just fine.

Kingdom come, the bombs have been dropped all over town,
Let me go, help me out, but don't let down.
