Soapbox Stance Songtext
We live in a society with prejudices and vices.
People stereotype others and become caricatures,
themselves.
With so much negativity going on in this world,
it wouldn't be surprising to me if blacks
were seen as niggers with triggers.

Despite billions of years developing ourselves.
We seem to have a hard time
accepting differences and change.
With so much discrimination being hurled,
it wouldn't surprise me if homos
were seen as faggots who are treat like maggots.

It wouldn't surprise me if lesbians
were seen as dykes with leather and bikes.
It wouldn't surprise me if Hispanics
were seen as spicks with hot guitar licks.
It wouldn't surprise me if Orientals
were seen as chinks with martial arts kicks.
It wouldn't surprise me if Indians
were seen as Pakis who drive around in taxis.

Withstanding several ice ages and wars,
we don't seem to appreciate what we have
in our current lifetime.
With the possibility of our globe being impearled,
why don't we reserve our energies rather
than let ourselves begrime?
Our leaders are fascists who
are nothing but repressed racists.
The true leaders never seem to have the privilege.
In all walks of life, lack of freedom in speech and movement
is something left to be desired
and this is a sacrilege.

Nothing will change over night.
Monumental development takes stages.
Nothing will come to light
if the only real objective is to increase personal wages.
Nothing will be alright
if we treat our minds like cages.

We give into commonality to
fit in with a certain mentality.
Vehicles are bought but energy reservance is never sought.
The countdown to depletion of existence is quickly reaching naught.
Contemporary culture teaches us to indulge in haste,
without realizing so many
resources are going to waste.

Western civilization seeks to capitalistically flourish,
while the rest of the world remains
perturbingly malnourished.
The old adage, mind over matter, fits in well when you consider
financial and educational economy means nothing
when we still need to deal with our moralistic sodomy.

Animals are annihilated
because one's sense of vanity is violated.
Agriculture is suffocatingly hampered
just so one's sense of glory is pampered.
Children's futures are short-changed in exchange
for one's sense of status remaining outranged.

Nothing will change overnight.
Monumental development takes stages.
Nothing will come to light
if the only real objective is to increase personal wages.
Nothing will be alright
if we treat our minds like cages.

Nothing will be alright
if we're unwilling to rewrite history's future pages.
