Seattle Songtext
Will I see you again
in the light of seattle
though it's scarce like the snow
in the country I sit in
will I rambo the pain
or speak of the weather
as you did on the day
we drove to seattle
will you pull me as close
as the tracks to the harbor
will you travel by ground
till you whisper
so softly stop
if the queens of the sky
set rain to the kings of the earth
in an open field
would you soak up the storm
like the wives in the springtime
gather up in the cools of seattle
on the first leaf that falls
with the chill of september
it's the month of my birth
and the push into water
when the leaves start to fade
in the states I have lived in
till it all looks the same
as the grey in seattle
