On Your Way Songtext
Somewhere there's a desk chair with your name on it
and you can count on it
waiting there for you
Somewhere down the line there's a powersuit
some shiny shoes to boot
to justify the attitude, for now you're

on your way
from now until your dying day
and all the plans you thought you made in stone
won't follow you to your grave
but we both know
we've got an awfully long way to go
so we visualize the end of the road…
and hope that it's home
but we don't know
no, we don't know
and so it goes

pieces of life are dressed in silicone
talk on their mobile phone
and wait for good news
so you think as you walk to burger king
someday you'll wear a ring
and stop paying your dues, and lucky you, you know you're

on your way
from now until your dying day
and all the plans you thought you made in stone
won't follow you to your grave
but we both know
we've got an awfully long way to go
so we visualize the end of the road…

and hope it's going to end like it began
naked and wide-eyed on the wind
tell me how can 100 years
come down to a single night of tears
you know it's what you see, and family
cuz everything that's after is just a reflection, but then again...

for now we're on our way
from now until our dying day
and all the plans we thought we made in stone
won't follow you to your grave
but we both know
we've got an awfully long way to go
so we visualize the end of the road…
and hope that it's home

...but we don't know
no, we don't know
and so it goes
