There were times when all we had was still to come
And everyone was free to run
Times were hard for those who grew up fast
And everyone thought it would last
People around found peace of mind
While we found peace of a different kind

It's been a long time coming
Or so it seems
And I'm walking alone
Just trying to see
If I can find my way back
To where I used to be

Everyday I find myself killing time
Just hoping no one kills mine
In this new age what's to do but to give in
But there's a few who remember where we've been
As a matter of fact, the truth of the matter is
That no one knew it would come to this

It's been a long time coming
Or so it seems
And I'm walking alone
Just trying to see
If I can find my way back
To where I used to be

These days people think that they'll got a choice
But they only hear their masters voice
What happened to the ways we used to know
And all the good people that come and go
Expect change to come easy though hard we've tried
But one day we'll all say it was worth the ride
