Lone Soldier Songtext
This soldier is leaving for the war.
Leaving his kids and wife, feeling torn.
He knows one day he will make them proud.
He says goodbye for what seems the last time.
He steps on the plane, takes one glance back.
He knows one day, he'll be fighting in Iraq.
He writes a card, heart beating off his chest.
He thinks positive and takes a deep breath.
Before he knows it he's on the front line.
Fighting for his country, saving men all the time.
He deserves more respect for everything he's does.
Soldiers should never be misunderstood.
A gunshot- "man down, man down."
Time freezes, there's no sound.
A soldiers body on the ground, all his friends gather round.
Rest in peace,
Rest in peace,
Rest in peace.
You gave your country proud.
He's so upset, he's just lost a close brother.
He just wants a letter off his wife, kids and mother.
He receives a letter, he breaks down in tears.
The war has taught his how to conquer his fears.
A gunshot- "man down, man down."
Time freezes, there's no sound.
A soldiers body on the ground, all his friends gather round.
Rest in peace,
Rest in peace,
Rest in peace.
You gave your country proud.
A gun shot sound- "man down, man down."
Time freezes, there's no sound.
A soldiers body on the ground, all his friends gather round.
Rest in peace,
Rest in peace,
Rest in peace,
You gave your country proud.
