Kids in Catholic School Songtext
We sleep in single beds, excited to be out of the cold.
But lose our interest when we realize we all sleep alone.
So you come here tonight,
yeah, you come here tonight.

We can find a plane and take it up
and smoke the sky into our lungs.
Share the scarf your mother knit
and cuddle close to make it fit,
but we won't ever talk,
no we don't ever talk, we fight.

I'm often sleepy
and my eyes are such an odd shade of grey.
So if i close them, we'll just understand;
its better off that way.
They cannot pierce your heart,
no they cannot pierce your heart.

But i can sing the songs our fathers knew,
When they were kids in catholic school,
their heroes then are legends now
but death has brought them to the ground.
and we won't ever talk,
no we won't even talk, we'll fight.

And i will find a bird, your favorite kind
and hold its neck and make him mine.
and he will bring a note to you,
a letter of the honest truth.
and it will tell you "just to run
don't stop until the morning comes"

until my light has ceased to burn
the dreams i wished i never learned
about the times you wished you had,
but held them back to keep me sad
so here tonight, we'll work this through
if you don't come, ill come to you.
cause we don't ever talk
no we don't ever talk, we fight.
