Katie Secretly Married At Eight Songtext
Katie met her match when she was just eight years of age,
And after just one year of grammar school, Katie was engaged
And all her friends were really jealous,
So they said that she was terminally ill.

All in all their anger lasted three-
fourths of a day,
And by the time they finished all their classes, they were all bridesmaids, And I guess that's just the way it happens, when you're only in the third grade.
Katie secretly married at eight.

Recess was the time all the children went to play,
But as the rumors spread of Katie's wedding,
All the children came to see the wedding ring,
Made out of wrappers, left from the gum that they chewed.

All the children said that she was beautiful that day,
Leon cried cause he was happy,
Bill said that was lame.
Josie was allergic so she didn't try to catch that bouquet.

They laughed in the sunshine, like it was the first time,
And out on the playground, the time of a life time
And as the recess bell rang all the children formed a parade.
Katie secretly married at eight.

Katie checked a box located right next to her name
"I love you, do you love me, forever and always?"
Her best friend Josie looked over,
And said her grammar checked out okay.

All in all their marriage lasted just that single day,
Unbeknownst to little Katie, her husband moved away.
His father dreamt of acting, so he took their stuff and moved to L.A.

They cried in the sunshine, like it was the first time,
And down on the playground, you'd think it was naptime,
And as the recess bell rang,
All the children formed a parade.

Katie met her match when she was just eight years of age,
But after just one day of wedding bliss, they were seperated,
Least thats just the way it happens, when you're only in the third grade. Katie secretly divorced at eight.
