Foolish Shoes Songtext
I bought these shoes
five years ago
I bought shoelaces to match the shoes

i still walk in these outdated shoes
and know no one would want to step in them
My life lacked life it's self
full of nothing that I foolishly posessed

And I still find simple me
looking down at these dirty shoes
Surely i'll bump into something new oneday
Look up just once and scare them away

Either way i didnt think it would happen to me
until what i thought would really come to be

They say you gotta walk around in somebody elses shoes
to know
what life is really like for them or how it's
gonna go

like i said before no one wants to jump in my shoes
because they dont know

CHORUS:
I guess my life lacks life it's self
full of nothing that i foolishly posessed
i treasured something, learned almost nothing
i threw it all away in the end

I bought these shoes
yesterday
fifty more dollars than the ones i had
Shoelaces were tight
the leather was new
it seems like life it's self is through

and i still find itty bitty little me
so trapped inside because the shoes i see
the chance I look up and walk three steps
the shoelace falls apart and then she trips

CHORUS:
I guess my life lacks life it's self
full of nothing that i foolishly posessed
i treasured something, learned almost nothing
i threw it all away in the end

hands in my pockets
locked in warmth
like that's the only way to hold on
and to hold on to what
is really all
that i ever possessed...

CHORUS:
I guess my life lacks life it's self
full of nothing that i foolishly posessed
i treasured something, learned almost nothing
i threw it all away in the end
CHORUS:
I guess my life lacks life it's self
full of nothing that i foolishly posessed
i treasured something, learned almost nothing
i threw it all away in the end
