Fall Still Songtext
The lights have all turned down
In this backwards town.
I wonder how the music's still alive.
Tonight the city is swallowed
Does she know she's being followed?
Will anyone be around to hear her cries?

A child begs the man to stop;
His mother tries to call the cops.
For the last time she's been too afraid.
Next door they hear the screams.
"Ignore them they're just dreams," they say.
The crying pair won't see the light of day.

All the violence that we've created
Has become somewhat situated
Deep within all our family trees.
Politicians have debated
These crimes of passion
These crimes of hatred.
Let them all fall still amidst the breeze.

"Just one more drink," he asks
Of the hooker he just passed.
She walks away
Doesn't even smile.
Tonight is painted red
With the blood that he will shed.
And he walks away as if he were in style.
All the violence that we've created
Has become somewhat situated
Deep within all our family trees.
Politicians have debated
These crimes of passion
These crimes of hatred.
Let them all fall still amidst the breeze.
