Mountain Adventure
On my way to the mountainsI felt like I'dlost a million dollarsBut all I lostwas my heartI think I gave it to youon my wayBut you didn't want itand you threw it away and I waslost and aloneIn the no-man's land with nothing in my hand, but a little candlethat i found in the sandAnd I cried, cried, criedUntil the night had come and I had to find, a place to sleepBut the fog made me blind and Ididn't know where to goSo I followed the tracesof the dogsthat led me to some giant rockswhere I sang myself to sleepfor awhileUntil I decided to walk another mile oranother day, but then I heard some voices say"Lay down, lay downSongtexteWe'll be your security. We think you should stay, Oh, we know you shouldbecause the night is dangerous in the wood."And I said"No, let me go, let me go!I am restlessand I am sadand I'd rather be walking instead."The suddenlya hundred wolvescame out of the darktheir jaws wide open like hungry sharksand they were all aroundthe victim they had foundand I said"No-one must get hurt tonight.No-one has to die. Let me go, I'll be your friend!Just let me go, please let me go!"They told me I could go away, they would turn aroundand I shouldn't stayThey would close their eyes, I shouldn't hesitate,When they opened their eyesit would be too late.I ran as fastas I couldas they turned aroundI was sitting in the woodBut behind meI heard their mournful cryAnd I prayed to God,I didn't want to die.And suddenlyI was surrounded by silenceSo I sang a song for the mountainsThey answered with an echo that grew louderSo loud that I could barely moveSo I walked with my head between my shouldersAfraid that my ears would explodeAnd so I shouted and cried"Be quiet! Today's not the day to die!I will beg on my knees, butwould you just be quiet please?"And then the wind came, took the noise awayBut still I had nowhere to stayand I walked on and on, until I cameUntil I cameto a path that looked alrightand I walked alone in this cold, cold nightand my heart filled up with lonelinessSo I reached for the candlebut what I found instead was a little glow-worm's shining head whose lightwas sitting in the grassI asked him if he could help me find back homehe said "yes"and I did not feel so alone in this frightening dark anymore.
