If I had a dollar for every time I asked
What the hell am I still doing here?
I could move out of this basement, buy a house in Mission Beach
Where I'd live out all my remaining years
And if I had an ounce of motivation left in me
I'd write the great American novel and retire at 23
I could put pen to paper and turn words to poetry
Or maybe just get drunk and fall asleep
And if I got paid commission for every time I bitched
Another week of this shit and I'd be fucking rich
