Ivy Climbs
Your house shines high to me:
dark pine on sky
As one great canvas hangs over all my work
I'm gath'ring sticks beneath to stoke my fire
And planting my songs of you in the softest dirt
Is how I send my love to you
like ivy climbs up and o'er
Though this my place for good
from here I'll watch it grow
To shed my winter's coat,
to greet you 'fore I go
But you won't know me
save my prints in snow
