My final day is a breathe of fresh air

Remembering the day that you sent that wink my way

But it didn’t take long for those dreams to fade
And new thoughts to take their place

What a waste of a tender boy
Who would give his life for anyone, without a change of mind
Maybe it’s a silly thought, that he could run away
From his pain and enjoy a few, better days
Tearing at the clothes of the one you thought existed Too bad for you to find out now, your faith was all a lie
The notions you’ve been fed about a man to save your soul
He’s failed you now, but it’s not his fault, because he was never there
