she walks down to the elephant century tonight
and writes a letter for the chimpanzee by the candlelight
orangutang swings in the morning as the sun puts out the light
and lion is snoring on his pillow of leaves
she opens up the cage and lets the pelicans fly about
she shoulders with toucan and parrot rice
breakfast in the morning on an old brown copper plate
we're having lizards and concubine rice

in the morning
find yourself
in a cage of lies
put the key in
open up
have some concubine rice
