It Takes A Lot Of Drinks
when it gets dark and we get drunk
we see the crowd through misty glass
we can not be more polite
to the world and to ourselves
than to have another drink before we leave
we quote a few philosophers
think we have found the hidden key
to open up the books of life
and to explain why man get drunk sometimes
it takes a lot of drinks
to realise we're happy
it takes a lot of guts
to show me who you are
it takes a lot of time
to tell me where you're heading
it takes a lot of love
to reach the brightest star
when it gets light and we're still drunk
we think about what we have done
we think about the ugly ones we've kissed
when we we're all passed out
it takes a lot of drinks ...
