Off The Hook
They said they'd let me off the hook If I renounced my ways, but I declined So they locked me in a tower and said They would not let me out again Til I changed my mind I told them "bring it on"; that I Was not afraid, I made myself quite clear And now I'm trying to be brave And to bear it like a soldier But I do not like it here The doors are locked (I've tried them all), And no one answers when I call So I'm just leaning back against the wall Pretending things are fine But that ain't really doing much To help me keep my cool or calm me down See I am slightly claustrophobic And the instruments of torture Resting in the corner Make the room look so much smaller Thought I was stronger then they thought I thought I was, but now I ain't so sure Selling out was not an option, SongtexteBut when viewed from this position It don't sound so bad no more You know? It's kind of frightening To find I'm inching towards surrendering But man, at this point, I'll try anything To buy my way outside So, PLEASE? How's about another chance? I've learned my lesson I've seen the light Bite your thumbs and disagree, Say that I waved my flag to easily. I do not care what you think of me. Taihen yo, yametai Aus Songtexte Mania
