What brought them both together
Light as lace tough as leather
He had a hunger insatiable
And instinct overruled his will
To hunt her down and make the kill
But she was fast
It was her gift
Jumps so high a gait so swift
To her it merely was a game
To run him around to not be slain
To send him back from whence he came
Oh lion and gazelle
Bound with the strength of many men
Captive in the lions den
He prowls and roars above his prize
Her fear won't look him in the eye
Victorious the beast he knows
His love for her will let her go
His instincts overrule his will
To hunt her down and make the kill
And she will not ever know why
He let her run he let her fly
