I Always Dread the End of Summer
We rode up to the GWB during the sticky death knell of August with a plastic bag full of malt liquor drinking on the FDR and getting serious like this could be the end of our lives. So bring it on, I'm tired of waiting. This could be the end of our lives and you know there's no reward for hesitating. We broke down outside Los Gatos and no all ages matinee benefit show was gonna save us. I always dread the end of summer when Amy leaves town, yeah, when James ain't around. This could be the end of our lives - burning through a once great nation. This could be the end of our lives so bring it on. I'm tired of waiting. They say, "Dream and dream real big, you're sure to find success!" But what the fuck can you achieve when you can't get no rest? And when you never get to sleep Or when you sleep and don't have dreams it knocks you on your ass. So I made a plan to take some action (I wanted to look back on the rest of my stupid life with some pride), I breathed deep this air of self-satisfaction, then I grabbed a couple of beers and went back inside.
