Lifeless

Reflections
I am not what I used to be Stuck within my own hypocrisies And I'm praying that I'll just let go Of these hopeful thoughts and fantasies A ghost stuck between earth and hell That bad memory you'd never tell And if there's one thing I have learned It's not to trust a single thing you're told And these chains keep me locked down in the same place If I could, I'd rip the sun from the sky So there's no promise of a new day Then you would know what it's like to be me. You couldn't bury yourself deep enough To even come close to how low I am A ghost stuck between earth and hell That bad memory you'd never tell Lost direction, empty reflection, And I have nothing but a dead expression.
