Dave And Brook Songtext
Once I was an old poet with a secret passive for the trappet

But this was the old good time when lovely Chopin was still mine

After he left (it was terribly sad) I became all at once

As Romanian as mad I quickly departed for the north

Where painting forks was still worth it

Is this were I first met you oh you didn't have a clue

But already you were charming and couldn't help but keep dreaming

And soon we became cousins while cultivating giant beans

We had our first flight together in the back of your father

We visited the neighbourhood which made a gloomy Kafka change his mood

And then he wrote a funny book about the love of Dave and Brook

A cute waitress was passing by building totems filled with taboos

I caught her hand she called my friend and we decided to wait and see

But if a button could close a door while the blue moon's on the dance floor

And if your name could sound like nothingness where there's no god to bless

And the piano suddenly wept we left what we've always kept

And died slowly without singing the cello and the sun and the forks smiling
