Call Center Blues Songtext
Up so early,
light rain's falling,
cold blue glass ahead.

Feeling numb
I took the lift -
tried to face up to another days work.

All the paper we throw away,
just to get through the day.

There's a man on the phone, and he's ready to blow;
so I put him on hold, as it buys me a little time
everyone knows that he's not gonna go away.

And the girl on the chair, said that nothing is fair;
but she wants to get payed
for the job she doesn't do.
Everyone said they don't pay enough anyway.

Cups of water
and a photo-copier
take me up to lunch.

Stare at my screen;
and I fall into a dream
say I won't be here for long.

All the paper we throw away,
just to keep ourselves sane.

There's a man on the phone, and he's ready to blow;
so I put him on hold, as it buys me a little time
everyone knows that he's not gonna go away.

And the girl on the chair, said that nothing is fair;
but she wants to get payed
for the job she doesn't do.
Everyone said they don't pay enough anyway.
