Boss Man Songtext
Well I say, this seems to be my life...
I'm paying bills and paying rent, should keep my wallet not so tight.
Don't get me wrong, I know that money's not the game,
I'm just at home with a roof to keep the water falling over me.

How come it seems that every single day
I'm kissing your thin ass just in order that I pay my way?
There's something wrong, yeah, I know I don't mind paying,
All I'm asking for is just a little positivity.
I might not struggle, I suffer less than most,
There's a certain message for workers driving coast to coast.
Why is it that the higher up you go,
You have to feel an asshole to the suckers rolling down the floor?

Now you may think I'm waxing far to lyrical,
But I think you know the score.
Here's your coffee sir, a thanks would have helped 'til you go to hell.
I think I need not say much more.

So wise up Mr. Boss Man, wipe that frown from off your face,
As you might have guessed I'm not yet through.
When I'm older, ten years wiser, and a bit more well to do,
I'll pray I'm not a bit like you.
When I'm older, a bit wiser, and I'm caring for my crew,
I'll know I'm not a bit like you. Hoi!

Even though I'm broke, I wont take it out on you,
You decide how you behave and you decide what you do.
How can a man find himself so filled with rage,
He feels he has to treat like shit somebody in a lower wage?

I think I've made it pretty clear exactly how I feel.
I have the feeling I'm never gonna offer almost anything, but still,
And I don't care if you are rich or if you have savings worth a ton,
It really doesn't count for shit if you're not a good person.

So wise up Mr. Boss Man, wipe that frown from off your face,
As you might have guessed I'm not yet through.
When I'm older, ten years wiser, and I'm caring for my crew,
I'll know I'm not a bit like you.
