As The Romans Do Songtext
I am a strange and introverted little lady
You may not believe me cause my lips just won't sit still
You are a strange and complicated young man
With a heart that's learning that it's ok to take a stand

I went to Rome and I did as the Romans do
But I was alone, alone and missing you
They say get used to it, get used to it
Well I could barely stand it
Don't think I could handle it
Being with anybody, anybody, anybody but you

We made a plan, we didn't need to open our mouths
We don't care that we're not like everybody else
Oh, but sometimes I get caught up in my web of crazy thoughts
And I start to plan about things I already forgot

I went to Rome and I did as the Romans do
But I was in doubt cause I was without you
They say get used to it, get used to it
Well I could barely stand it
Don't think I could handle it
Being with anybody, anybody, anybody but you

The media paints pictures of what's going to make me happy
And I start asking questions that I fail to mention to you
But I know that there's no need to worry about anything
Cause I'm right where I belong
You and me, we're going strong
I went to Rome and I did as the Romans do
But I was lost, so lost and missing you
They say get used to it, get used to it
Well I could barely stand it
Don't think I could handle it

I don't think I ever want to, I don't think I ever could
Do what the Romans think I should x2

Oh no, no we got it good
We got it alright, alright
