As real as Disneyland Songtext
Julian Dawson - As real as Disneyland

I never played San Diego

never seen that Sunshine State

or sunbathed at Redondo
or crossed that Golden Gate

but I have to keep believing

some day I'll take that plane

and ride from Maine to Mexico

and Texas back to Maine

I've never seen New York City

never climbed that Empire State

and now I sit here and wonder

if I've left it all too late
and I'll never those freeways

the endless waves of grain

and ride from Maine to Mexico

and Texas back to Maine

and in my imagination I'm already on my way

in the backseat of a Greyhound bus across the U.S.A.

with the porter whistling Dixie to a Mariachi band

and to me the faded tinsel is as real as Disneyland

I was born in London

on the fourth day of July

in Washington they celebrate

with fireworks in the sky

I'm gonna leave this town behind me

the endless days of rain

and ride from Maine to Mexico

and Texas back to Maine

my mind's eye is a camera I'm already on my way

in the backseat of a Greyhound bus across the U.S.A.

with the porter whistling Dixie to a Mariachi band

and to me the faded tinsel is as real as Disneyland
