My mother once told me on the phone that
I should name my band, Millennium
Because in the next few years the millennium
Will be on everyone's minds
I told her that I agree,
But I didn't like it as a band name.
But it got me thinking
About what I'll be doing
In 2040...
In 2040, I'll reminisce about the Twentieth Century
When we still wrote on pads of paper
And humans still did all the cleaning

In 2040, I'll be camping out with my grandsons
Who'll have little gadgets to talk to their friends around the world
They'll see them, smell them, hear them, feel them

In 2040, my wife and I will take up games like, lawn bowling.
We'll compete, interactively
With couples our age in Africa
